Today Advertiser officially states that reinforcements are not far away & I think about time having been cut off 6 weeks already.  They will not get here without having some severe fighting between Belmont and Kimberley for the Boers are in strong forces down that way, especially on those hills by the Rifle Butts & Spytfontein.  We expect to hear of some very severe fighting when the relief column gets up there.
